{Review} Boxycharm Monthly Subscription

Disclosure: The item(s) mentioned below were provided complimentary for the purpose of an honest review. The opinions stated here are based upon my personal experience with the product(s) and are entirely my own. Regardless, I only recommend products or services that I feel would benefit my readers. Sponsored by Brand Backer.

I am a subscription box addict. My wallet is not, which is why I do not receive EVERY subscription box available, however, if my finances did allow, I probably would! I feel special getting mail, and what girl doesn't love receiving make-up and related goodies on a monthly basis? I recently got a review box from Boxycharm, and I must say the value is OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD!

Boxycharm costs $21 per month, and you will receive 4-5 full-sized beauty items each month. This is such a deal, because the items FAR exceed this value. Additionally, if you purchase a yearly subscription, you get a free box, and pay only $231. On top of that, you get free shipping, so there are no additional fees added on or expected on your end, and you just sit back and wait for your boxes to arrive each month. After you receive your products, you can review the items for "charms" that can be used to purchase more full-sized beauty products.

Inside each box comes a description card that details the contents of your box, as well as their value. For December, the theme was Jingle Belles, and here was my description card:

I am pretty good at Math, so I am confident when I say that a $21 box that comes with $110.94 - $115.94 worth of beauty products is a superb value. Where else can you get this kind of value? Not even at the clearance section of Target my friends...

The highest value product in my box was the Coastal Scents Revealed Palette:

This palette is GORGEOUS! I use this almost every single day, and I own several high-end palettes as well. I love the colors, they are full of pigmentation and they wear beautifully. I actually already own the Coastal Scents Revealed 2 Palette because this one was out of stock when I went to purchase it. I highly recommend that one as well.

Next up, my Lina Lashes Luxury Mink Lashes:

I don't "do" lashes, so I really have no opinion on these. They look beautiful, they feel natural, and they look like they would look good on! In all honesty, this happens sometimes - you get an item in your box that isn't your color, isn't your fragrance or you won't use. For the most part, the other items more than make up for the one item that you won't use, and there are SEVERAL trading sites on-line for people who are willing to trade for their most coveted items.

My third item is this adorable, and perfect for travel or on-the-go use, Mistura Beauty Solutions Retractable Beauty Brush:

This brush is meant for blush, but I also use it for light powder application, and most frequently for applying my setting powder. I feel that it does a beautiful job at evenly applying, the bristles are super soft, and again, because it is retractable, this is a must for any on-the-go makeup-ers because it'll fit right in your purse!

I received a full size Be A Bombshell Lip Crayon in "Shameless":

I am a hoarder of lip crayons. I have no idea what my fascination is with them, but I just prefer a lip product in crayon-like packaging. No rhyme or reason to it, just my personal preference. I am familiar with the Be A Bombshell brand and own a few of their products. I have zero complaints, and this lip crayon is no exception. "Shameless" is a beautiful dark pink-red color with built-in sparkles! It has a very blendable, creamy consistency, and stays put for quite awhile.

And my last item, Eva NYC Hold Me Tight Hairspray:

This came in a 1.5 fl oz size, so likely a travel-sized sample, however, I use hairspray pretty sparingly, so it works perfect for me! This hairspray smells AMAZING - like perfume, and it does a great job at assisting my pretty resistant hair to holding curls. Plus, did I mention, it smells SO good! It's was created for maximum hold for all hair types, while also being humidity-resistant. That will be great come Summer when my hair hates me and turns into a complete ball of frizz.

Overall I would give Boxycharm 10 stars:

                      ★

The box is WELL worth the $21 it costs per month, even if you aren't crazy about every item you receive. The value is just spot-on! If you are interested in receiving your own Boxycharm subscription, you can do so HERE. I also recommend following them across their social media outlets so you can get a better idea of the variety of products they offer month-to-month. You can find them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, You Tube and Google +.
